EPD scientific activities are mainly carried out through projects, publications, and meetings. Working groups play a significant role in keeping EPD activities going and in sharing work to maintain the database. Working group members are volunteers, often early-career researchers, dedicated to the investigation of specific areas of the discipline.
There are currently six such working groups and should you be interested in contributing to any one of them, feel free to contact the WG’s coordinator:
Pollen taxonomy: Steffen Wolters
Depth-age models & chronologies: Thomas Giesecke
Modern pollen samples: Basil Davis
Former Interglacials: Petr Kuneš
Quantitative tools, R & GIS: Alistair Seddon
